About Us

Pastor Tim is our first Parish Lead Pastor for the First English and Peace Lutheran Church Parish. He joined the pastoral team on May 1, 2006. Pastor Tim received his Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Service from Central College in Pella, IA, and Master of Divinity from Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. The ministry is a second career for Pastor Tim, following 20 years of experience working with IBM and as president of Viking Printing and Coping in Chicago. Pastor Nancy Krueger was called to First English-Peace Lutheran Parish in October 2006. She works with the confirmation ministries in both parishes, preaches regularly and takes part in all regular pastoral duties. She has a special interest in planning, evangelism and development. Rev. Martin Ruge (Pastor Marty) came to First English in October 2005 and recently was named Permanent Supply Pastor. Pastor Marty has been in the ministry since 1966. As Coordinator for Youth Ministries, Troy directs both the junior high / middle school youth as well as the high school youth groups. Both meet weekly for devotion and group activities during the second year.

Troy joined the pastoral team as the full-time Coordinator of Youth Ministries on September 5, 2006. Previously, he served as Assistant Youth Director in Pennsylvania. Mary serves as coordinator of multiple Education programs and Servant Ministries.

Mary has over 20 years experience working with children and adult educational programs. Mary has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Major in Christian Day School.
