Welcome to First English Lutheran Church of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Our church is a friendly place, where the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, draws his people together to speak to them, nourish them, then send them out to serve others in His name.
First English offers a wide variety of ministries and activities for people of all ages. Our goal is to give church members and their families opportunities to grow, through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and evangelism.
First English offers three worship services weekly, each with a distinct style, from traditional to contemporary. Sunday School and Adult Education classes are offered Sunday at 9:15 a.m., September through May.
Traditional Worship
Sunday 8 a.m.
Establish a comfortable connection with God in a beautiful worship setting. At this service, we sing traditional hymns accompanied by a pipe organ, and follow the traditional Lutheran liturgy. Holy Communion is celebrated weekly.
Spirit of Hope
Sunday 10:30 a.m.
Enjoy a casual, child-friendly environment at this service focused on learning and practical ways to serve. This spirited contemporary service includes an intergenerational message and high-energy praise and worship accompanied by the Spirit of Hope band and song leaders.
Good News At Five
Saturday 5 p.m.
This service, held in the church sanctuary, blends contemporary and traditional. We sing both traditional and newer hymns, with a mix of piano and organ music. Holy Communion is served weekly.
